1. Horseback riding
This is a favorite for both new riders and professionals. Horseback riding is an easy activity where you can explore the scenic beaches and mountains of Costa Rica. You can sit back and let your horse do the “driving” while you take in the beautiful scenery and take amazing pictures! Go with a group or on your own and you’ll be sure to make new friends along the way!
Tip: Wear long pants and closed toe shoes
2. Try a zip line canopy tour
Ready to rappel through the treetops of the jungle? Zip lining is a fun activity that’s perfect for thrill seekers. Perfect for everyone, the young and the young at heart.
Tip: While it might be too fast for a regular camera, strap on a Go-Pro to get a video of all the lush scenery.
3. Surfing
From novice to advanced levels, surfing is a great way to get out on the water, have fun catching some waves in our tropical warm waters and then relax once you’re back on shore. We offer lessons that can have you on a board and riding the waves in no time!
Tip: Wear plenty of sun block/SPF, rash guard is also recommended.
4. Snorkeling
There is something so calming about snorkeling and exploring underwater sea life. There are lots of sunset catamaran tours that include an afternoon of snorkeling and lunch. We’d be happy to coordinate the details for you.
Tip: Bring an underwater camera to take pictures of exotic fish and each other!
5. Hiking
A great way to get a little exercise in and discover Costa Rica is by hiking in our local mountains. Rincon de la Vieja is a volcanic region nearby that offers different levels of trails, beautiful waterfalls and exciting wildlife.
Tip: Wear hiking shoes and bring bug spray, SPF, water and a snack.
